It’s been awhile since I’ve done one these! I didn’t mean to take the entire month of February off – things just happened and time got away from me. Here is what we have been working on…
We spent February working on the bookshelves in the family room and figuring out the living room and what can be done. If you missed the bookshelves reveal this week you can find it here.
As for the living room, we left off with the new slip cover not matching the cushions, which prompted a lengthy discussion with the company we bought it from for a refund. I also asked my mother-in-law (who knows how to sew) if she could somehow salvage the first one (that matches everything) and thankfully she said yes… but its been a process. And I have no idea when it’s getting done.

The good news is that the new leather couch is now in production so hopefully that will be arriving within a month and we will have something to sit on in that room! We are also getting quotes for a coffee table and I have a couple of paint samples to throw up on the walls – maybe we will even paint this weekend. I want to paint and get that room done before the weather gets really nice and we want to spend all our time outside. A little bit of an oxymoron if you think about it.
The sconces arrived last week for over the fireplace and the mirror just came yesterday. We are getting there – literally one piece at a time!
In case you missed it, I also shared an easy trick the lengthen the life of your area rugs and what to look for when it comes to buying a wool rug… and how to spot the ‘happy’ sheep!
Happy almost Friday!
